NSW Air Wing jobs x3!
I see NSWPOL are advertising for;
Line Pilot
Training and Checking Pilot
Head of Training and Checking
on Seek.com.au
They state their Essential requirements, but not their minimums. Does anyone know the min's?
Is there any cause for concern with three positions being advertised or did one guy/girl hold the three roles being advertised?

I can't help with the minimums but does anyone else think the salary is a bit low for the qualifications they require, 99-114k for a 412/429 Pilot with MECIR, NVIS, Winch and previous HEMS or Police experience?

I’d assume that’s the base salary for the public/state pay grade position but that a good amount would come on top of that in the form of career/qualifications/speciality stipends.
If not… that could explain why there are three listings.

If these were based somewhere I wanted to live - I’d try for one.
Traditionally a really interesting job.

HOTC and T&C both left within two weeks for very good reasons, line pilot a little while after.

It was a very satisfying job when I was there, in the early days of 3 x B206, navigating with a UBD and searching with gyro-stabilised binos (which had the tendency to make the observer's breakfast re-appear when going in orbits.) A nice balance between watching baddies, catching baddies, car chases, and rescue work.
The equipment these days is a Star Wars leap ahead, and I would love to get my hands on the gear in the machine and have a play.

I thought the same. Even their HOTC ($120,648) comes in about $30,000 under what I thought a line driver would be worth.
Throw in the cost of living in Sydney and there's not going to be a lot left.

All I can say is do your research on the outfit as best you can.
Poke around and ask those who have recently departed.
Good for some and not so sweet for the remainder.
Looks like dream job from the other side of the fence.
Best of luck to the successful applicants.
GF.

There is always an option.

Was dissatisfaction with the aircraft a contributing factor?

No, they didn't. One did the other did not and neither did the line pilot!

Nobody left because of the equipment, it’s because of the other reason.
