New AAPMBF Rules Proposal

AAPMBF Members have been contacted to vote in a proposed rule change process. Based on feedback, several improvements and changes are being proposed for member support in the 2025 Fund year with full implementation in 2026.

New Single pilot / mutlicrew Limitaiton Support

Where a member's medical is endorsed with an 'as or with co-pilot' limitation and where a member can not receive an income in their current employment, they can apply to the MBF for up to SIX months of monthly benefits (up to $15K per month). These payments are designed to assist a member to either recover and resume their normal duties, or have the financial support needed to move to employment that is compatible with the limitation. Where it can be shown that a plan is in place to resume flying, the MBF can approve up to another SIX months of payments.
