Interesting, I was at a large flight school not long back and when I asked about jobs opportunities for their newly minted CPLH students the response was just about all new pilots get a job and that the school has phone calls from employers looking for new pilots
Then you read posts like this...........
Note: I've been flying for 22 years so not job searching.

I was told the same thing by flight schools. But when you talk to the newly qualified pilots you find out that they've applied to hundreds of companies between a group of them and not one has had a sniff of a job.

VET FEE has done a real number on the entry level pilot market. No shortage of pilots with an indexed debt ticking up each year.

My hand is up for that one; I sent so many resumes across the country and had responses saying either "need instructor, need 250hrs min, need ...... " or crickets. Only a few came back with come move to this state, and you'll be on the deck for 6+months with a possibility of flying after, or come fly tourism for us but we won't pay you.
It can definitely an industry that doesn't like to help itself.
