CASA CPL conversion to Canada or FAA visa versa

Postby Rotorpilot » Fri Dec 13 2024, 12:59

Questions about what might be the best option first for converting my CASA CPL to FAA or Canadian licence.

At first I'm looking to fly in Canada but would like FAA for some type ratings at a later date.
Would it be better to get an FAA and then do the requirements for the Canadian conversion or vise versa?

Thanks for any information or experiences doing this yourself.

Most of what I've very quickly looked at was from a while ago. After relevant info for 2024/2025

Great question!

If I could tag onto this with another. Are there many Heli pilots currently working on an E3 Visa in the US?

If you an Aussie go straight to the US and jump in the right seat of an Airline!! Run run far away from Helicopters.

A roster, good pay and hostesses. You will struggle to find any of that in Helicopters.

Unless you've got the requirements for the Airplane ATPL and a whack of PIC, unfortunately those days are gone B3.
