Rumour is: A tail rotor failure.
It’s all been very quiet.
Another “interesting” thing is that one of two on board, the fatality unfortunately, has been described as a “passenger”. As far as I know the Super Puma isn’t certified for single pilot. Searching in the distant part of my mind: something to do with not being able to pump the gear down (emergency extension) from the RHS.

Schedule 7 (page 23) lists the 332 as single pilot. I thought that the gear was actually easier to pump from the right seat, but it’s been a while.

Perfect.
I defer to your superior knowledge.
That explains why so many Captains said they would prefer a pie warmer in the left seat. Rather than me. Some did look like they ate a few too many pies.

The 225 is certified for single pilot VFR, but the last time I flew the 332 and every flight manual I have seen for the 332 says two crew VFR and IFR. I have no idea about what would be a 215, 225 automation in a 332 size airframe.

There are some utility 332 that have been converted to fixed gear. Saves weight on top of removing pump down requirement.
