AURIGA ?

Postby WA heliman » Sat Apr 27 2024, 08:06

Is anybody able to tell me about Auriga and there HMPT operation in Karratha for RIO. It looks like a good opportunity although I have been hearing rumours that their General Manager along with the HOFO, HOTC, HAAMC and Chief Engineer have all resigned over the past few months.

Are they a sinking ship ? Will the Rio HMPT contract go ahead for them?

My gut feeling is to stay away .... does anyone have any insight

I’ve heard that the refueler is staying so the contract is safe

They have all the HMPT in the country as far as I'm aware and are transitioning from being a smaller company to a reasonably large one. That means extra work for all those positions which is why some may be moving on. I've heard the rumours too but they might be just that....Rumours.

They are not a sinking ship, there are people around who will join them in those positions...they just need to offer good conditions and an appropriate salary to attract them.

The shiniest, newest ship is one iceberg away from sinking.
“Chapter 11” anyone?

Remember, if the ship sinks, the pax will be climbing aboard the next one.
If a pilot is endorsed and experienced he/she might be driving the next ship.

Those positions were vacated due to the company not providing the staffing resources required to function correctly. With approximately 60 pilots, they cannot continue to operate like the smashed together GA outfit they came from.
The pilots and engineers are all great people and with appropriate staffing it has great potential. New 4 axis machines and IFR/NVIS opportunities. Let’s hope they make the right choices.

They have got some nice machines, with 3 new 135 Helionix for Karratha and 2 new ones their way for Port Hedland. Good opportunity for lots of ME hours. There is a high turn over of staff though.

I am on the Karratha contract. There are huge growing pains but things are settling down and the RIO contract is being serviced.
We are looking for pilots so feel free to apply. I can't say much more right now.

Is the CEO still ruling with an iron fist and thats why everyone is leaving?

“Turnover”

There is currently a lot of industry movement due vast options.
(Hint - If you want to keep experience:Treat your assets well*)

I believe there is some opportunity for people to advance their qualifications and experience at this company. Some key minimum requirements may have been reduced. And “asset treatment” might have improved al$o.
