URGENT REMINDER TO ALL AVIATORS !

Katoomba Airfield, one of the most strategic aviation assets in Australia is at risk of being lost forever !! Ground zero during emergencies such as fire and also an airborne safety ramp for all aviators traversing the Blue Mountains, we have until 5pm Sunday 4th August to lodge a submission to NSW Crown Lands to see this asset transformed into an active and vibrant airfield.

A letter from Derek & Floyd Larsen is attached and / or visit the Flyblue Management website http://www.flyblue.com.au and go to top left tab for details !!

100% agree.
Disappointed to say the least that locals would want it closed. if they get their way, I would suggest that when the next fire threatens their property that we just say sorry, you closed the airport. The narrow mindedness of these people is stunning.

Yes agree and have sent my submission in.

FlyBlue have you contacted all the fixed wing flying clubs around the country and AOPA with the same PDF?

Good luck with it!

Do the locals actually want it closed? Usually a case of the vocal minority eg Tyabb.

Derek has a great vision and is a very approachable guy. Hope this works out for them.
