Re: Chief Pilot - Darwin
Why so secretive? Surely this sort of ad is going to be more successful at attracting good applicants if they can see the company that the position is offered for, and think the culture and reputation is worth buying into....?

Kind of don't know what more information you need.
They tell you where they're based.
They tell you that they have piston and turbine machines.
They tell you they do tourism, charter and air work
They tell you the pay is negotiable.
They tell you that you can chat to them Confidentially.
They give you contact details.
If I was looking, I'd be all over it. And if I'm not interested, they don't care.

Right, that’s why toll, CHC, Bristow, Babcock etc all use the same “create a spontaneous gmail account” approach when they’re looking to fill a position too, it’s just the professional thing to do...
Reputable companies use their good reputation to attract good employees, the only reason not to shar the company name, is because it’s got a reputation of a whole other kind. IF I was looking, I’d have already given this job ad too much of my time.

Maybe the current chief pilot doesn't know he is about to see the door...

As HIP said, it’s the professional thing to do. It’s also probably an efficiency thing. All applications, questions, comments etc to one e-mail address rather than a s$&t-storm of emails, phone calls, personal visits etc forthw CP to deal with. Probably resulting from previous experience.

Bristow and chc have a slightly different type of company. And who said they have a good name. Have you looked at any of the off shore job applications lately, full of trendy terms and catch phrases and they want you already qualified for the job, like 139 and 92 endorsements are only $40 each.
