EC120 support

Postby Finny » Sat Feb 15 2014, 21:18

It seems the support for the EC120 in Australia is almost non existent, basic parts are almost impossible to source domestically, Eurocopter tech support couldn't care less and local parts suppliers seem to have the same results as us, not much at all...... Does any one know of a reputable company that supports the EC120 with some sort of parts base?

Maybe you need to address them as "Airbus Helicopters" before they will respond.
What a terrible marketing move in my opinion.

Eurocopter are not known for their customer service, couple that with a Turbomeca engine and you are in all sorts of trouble.

Hopefully with Bell teaming up with Turbomeca for the SLS, things improve!

As for a reliable parts supplier, sorry I am not sure. Good luck as they make a great machine.

Try Pacific Crown Helicopters at Caloundra airport for Parts

Try Heli-Buz aviation for Tech Support in SE QLD

Hello Finny,

Believe their parts are through their Australian Aerospace banner,

Try: http://www.ausaero.com.au/

Thanks for the replies, We've tried those suppliers and seems that they are having the same issues we are in sourcing parts in a reasonable time frame if at all

Hi Finny,

Unfortunately its the price you pay for dealing with Turbomecca and "Airbus helicopters", they are not known for their product support. The guys at AA Bankstown are good guys but they are bound within the system also.

I would recommend giving them long lead times on components you require. Good luck :)
