If Erickson are building new machines, as in they are selling some to Korea and Spain.
How much do they cost?
Does anyone know?
Why doesn’t our government buy some?

That would generally be true, however, the RFS in NSW now own at least 1 BK and 1 squirrel from a rotary point of view and I think maybe an interest in some large fixed wing assets.

Strange times are these...happy to be corrected

RFS should be the last agency buying and operating any aircraft. They don't have the experience or the knowledge. They need to be the contract issuer and that's all.
Leave aviation operations to aviation professionals, not fire fighters.
