I am wondering if anybody knows if you can make the Robinson brand tugs go faster. Not much, but a little bit will help.
Also, I’m not sure, but it seems there is a connection problem between the throttle and the motor on our tug. It goes for a while and then cuts out a second or two and then goes again. Has anybody had this problem with advice for a fix?
Thanks!

Re: Robinson tug speed boost and throttle
The hand throttle can slip round over time and this can result in a slow down. You can take the throttle off and reset its position so that full power is available again.
Also - confirm that all the cells in your batteries are good - It only takes one duff cell to hugely degrade performance.

Thanks Charbuque. I replaced the batteries.
I’ll see if I can open the throttle mechanism.

Re: Robinson tug speed boost and throttle
Hi i found on my tug there is an auto resetting circuit breaker where the power comes directly off the battery, the tug will travel and then stop, then when the circuit breaker cuts back in it works again, replacing the circuit breaker is easy.
