Hanson are under FBI investigation.
Tropic don’t get rave reviews.
Are there any professionally run companies who have a commitment to safety and maintenance operating out there atm? Or is it better to stay on land if that’s what I’m looking for?

You would be better off just staying on dry land and watching Wicked Tuna.

No such thing as a reputable tuna company that’s including all the fishing boat fleet and the helicopter company’s that put helicopters on them, but I guess the lesser of all evils is the mob out of NZ but can’t think of there name. If you don’t have a care of your own health and safety go for it, if you value your health and life in this planet, think again.

Vsc have d models and are n registered if that makes you feel better. There are a few tuna flying groups on Facebook that are full of information both helpful and not. Unless your there for more than 2 years I doubt it would hinder your chances at employment in the real world. Do it for the adventure, not the pay or hours and you won't regret it.

Hansen's ones were (mostly) N registered as well.... don't mean nothing on the high seas (ie doens't mean there is any oversight on them by the regulators in comparison to having other reg numbers on their sides...)

You mean the F.A.A. doesn't do "Ramp Checks" on the high seas?
My experience (Here we go!) overseas, operating N-Registered aircraft . . . anything goes. Noncompliance with Regulations is rife, both among aircrew and maintenance. And, the person who reports it either to the Chief Pilot or F.A.A. is made to be the bad guy, and "not a team player".
