What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others.

A spraying R44 in NZ had the same crack a couple of years ago.
I love Robinsons, but it's time to build a composite blade Frank.

NT mustering machine. Blades had logged around 1700 hours. Where fitted to machine 6 years ago! Apparently when RHC fatigue life test M/R blades they develop cracks at around the 5000 hour mark.
If your going to flog the hell out of life limited components, best off accepting that they will eventually fail in some way.
Glad no one was injured

Yes and thats the worry. (And I fly then daily)They have had constant problems over the years with blades. Then you talk to guys who have done thousands of hours in the robinson series and had no problems of any kind. The thing is, as we all know, they aint buit tough like a 206 or H500 but theyve been a cheap option and so the cycle continues. Where does it end. Nobody likes to see cracks of any kind let alone of that size, imagine if he was cruising at 2000ft with that sort of a crack! Having said that Robinsons must do some of the largest hours of any kind on a daily basis if you look at the whole picture. But that doest make me feel and better about it.

Nah, time for a clean sheet of paper.
Never forget that some people exist purely as a warning to others.
