Not quite how your Apache wing-over is supposed to go.

Downwind + low/zero forward airspeed + high rate of descent + power in use + low height = trouble :roll:

Good example of why HUET training includes an inverted escape.

You can see the pilot's head headbutting the console on impact at 0:20.
That's going to hurt a bit.

Pretty much the same deal as this AH64 crash:

I love the response by the military as for the cause.

"...the aircraft suffered an engine failure."

NO S**T! Both engines failed when they were driven into the water!

I like the way the second aircraft didn't even do a recce to check on the downed crew, just kept going. Were they worried that someone was shooting at them?

I guess if they were civilian pilots they would move overseas and reinvent themselves. Thats what the ones who have screwed up in OZ do anyway. pop;

At around 7 seconds there's a flash from the #2 engine exhaust followed by a noticible lowering of engine noise pitch possibly as its winding down. At the altitude and location of these guys very possibly a bird ingestion.
Still a very recoverable situation but these clowns were committed to their Return To Target maneuver that they were clearly hot dogging for...
In Greek fashion they were awarded air medals for surviving their blunder. I guess at least one of the pilots was related to someone with a lot of political clout.
