Insurance and where to get it.

Postby helicopspeeder » Tue Apr 18 2006, 04:27

Hello,
Anyone with personal experience of info about how to get affordable life/loss of license/permanent diability insurance as a heli pilot??
My last employer provided great cover but I now need to provide my own insurance and most companies won't even assess a helicopter pilot.
Any info would be great,
Thanks,
BC

The AFAP has a good loss of licence insurance scheme for members. Why don’t you join? :!: The AFAP have done more for helicopter pilots than the HAA ever will. To be fair the HAA is a very different organisation. :o

I tried to increase my life insuranse last year, I had a policy that had been in place for about 30 years and thought it was time to increase it. All was well until they put it to the underwriter. They had given me a figure and them suddenly they wanted a $2000.00 loading P.A. Do they know something that I don't about my flying?

Have you tried John Ellis? He's a specialist broker, give him a call to shoot the breeze on:

07 3870 0933
or
0418 885 752
