I'm also looking for an EC120 / H120 flight manual.

1. Also, real world numbers. can it take off max gross at 2k DA?
2. With full fuel how much useful load is there?
3. Is there an Autopilot option?
4. Is there an aftermarket crash-worthy fuel system?

Thanks for all the help.

G’day Yankee

Bare with me as I don’t have a manual in front of me and it’s been a couple of years since I flew the 120.

1. Depends on the departure path. I’d say yes, but you’d want some space in front of you. They don’t like to climb out vertical, especially when heavy.

2. ~ 325kg. You basically get half of your usefulload taken up with fuel which makes it easy to remember. And that’s also a fair amount of fuel you can take if you have the space.

3. Not sure. I’ve never seen one but having hydraulics it should be possible. Might be a better question on the Rumour Network site.

4. I’m hoping the tank in them now is somewhat crash resistant :s

Re the auto pilot option for light helis, I’ve heard solid figures of around $250k for Eurocopter and Bell products from Sagem/Safran but i think Cobham are marketing a 2 axis version for around $100k.
