I have a mate that is flying a corporate B407 on the Gold Coast. He was sent on the factory course and was very impressed with the training. I suspect that not too many commercial operators here in Australia would regard it as worth while enough to actually pay to send their guys over there though.

I did a Bell factory course and I can recomend it.
The instructors are first class and if you are flying a single they with have you conducting autos to the ground from all phases of flight in your sleep!!
The emphisis is on safetey and handling emergencies.
Ground school is excellent as is the hanger which is air conditioned and lots of bell helicopter models in various states of disasembly for training.

You can get the rates on the bell website.

I agree with pohm1, most Oz operators wouldn't part with the cash but I think it's well worth it.

Have done the factory course at Bell. Very Very much worth the time and money.
Shows how and endorsement should be done.
Credability with your insuance company makes it worth while as well.
Cost is a bit much though, at about A$13000 plus airfares and accom and food for the intial 206/206L course, quite high. Can't see the average operator sending many over.
If nothing else, I feel a lot more competant in the aircraft than before.
