2 Day UH-1H 'Huey' Ground School - Brisbane - March

A full 2 day ground training course on the iconic UH-1H ‘Huey’.

21 – 22 March 2019

This will be ground training on the aircraft systems and flight manual which will count towards a future Flight Review (for CASA PPL(H) or CPL(H) holders) in the machine for those interested.

Training will be a mix of classroom and ‘hands-on’ crawling over a fully restored and flyable Vietnam warbird at the Aeropower hangar at Redcliffe airport.

Course numbers will be capped at 8 people. (4 places have sold overnight.)

Endorsement training can be arranged for sometime after the 2 day ground course for those interested.

No prior helicopter knowledge is required for the course. Enthusiasts are very welcome as are Vietnam Veterans that would like to the chance to get acquainted with a Huey.

Its competency based so depends a bit on what experience you already have and how fast we get through it to standard.
Happy to chat about it. A bit of lead time needed for scheduling too.

If dates didn't work out for you on the last one then the next session of training will be on 2,3 May 2019.

There will be instructional flights available on Sat 4 May but priority for those will be people doing the 2 day ground school.

$599 for the 2 days if part of the group course.
Approx 3 hours flying for the endorsement training @ $3500/hr - its competency based at the end of the day and as a flight review is the only mechanism these days to record it you'll also need to be able to pass air law exam, be able to submit a flight plan etc.

Thats about what you need to run them. Anyone that does it any cheaper will eventually go broke.
