Most of the kneeboards I have seen open the cover to right side.
I think this could interfere with the cyclic stick if you want to have them on your left knee.
(I like my right knee "empty" to rest the hand on)
So which kneeboards are you using to hold your iPad / iPad mini and what do you like / dislike at it?

Re: iPad / iPad mini Kneeboard Collection
I use the SkyHigh Gear Ipad Mini kneeboard available thru the Downunder pilot shop. So far I have found it to be very good. It opens at the top and so stays out of the way. I fold the lid underneath when I am using it as the leg strap is elastic and you can stretch it to stow the cover.
Would prefer the pen holder on the side rather than the top and I am thinking about velcroing a normal notebook on the front.

Re: iPad / iPad mini Kneeboard Collection
I have been using the iPro Aviator/M for 6 months now and can't fault it. The cover opens to the left allowing it to sit quite comfortably on my left knee. Unit build, padding and protection of the ipad is top notch too.
