Cockpit Pictures
Anybody know how to take good cokpit pictures in flight so that you can see a well exposed inside and outside?
At the moment i can either get a good outside picture with a dark interior or visa versa, im looking to get the outside exposed correctly and also my face exposed on the inside.

These were taken with a Canon IXUS50. Cameras can't cope with the huge contrast from the bright exterior to the dark interior. You will have to turn the flash on which will probably mean using the camera in 'Manual' instead of Auto or Program. You will also need to find an angle where the flash won't bounce off the windows. Get the camera to focus on the instrument panel too as that will generally be the focal point of the picture.
That's the beauty of digital though, shoot as many pics as you like and work out the best way to do it.

SPAS,
Loving the 130, but then I've only flown 30 year old Jetrangers prior to this so it is naturally going to be an improvement!
That's the cradle for the satellite phone which is not in the aircraft in the pictures. We are having some problems getting it to work. With the cradle being plastic and the body of the phone also plastic the vibation has worn the small locks, plastic again, that hold the phone in place. You usually have to hold it in place whilst making a call!
I signed off on our new 130 last week, should be here Sept 2007.

Good
Thats the way, i will have a play around, usually i am handing my camera to someone in the jump seat so its up to them but i will try a few settings next time i go flying. Unfortunatly the picture i wanted of me 50' foot of the deck racing along the beach testing the rad alt is few and far between. it usually at seven grand over the Timor Sea, not such an interesting picture.
http://www.ascs.com.au I used to work for this company and we sold many sat phones to Heli Air and others. Maybe thay can help with your problem.

Yep, I was in Darwin for the V8 races, we own the WPS V8 Supercar team. I flew the 130 from the Gold Coast to Darwin and back and the only job I had to do in Darwin was fly people from the Casino to Hidden Valley! For those of you not familiar with Darwin, that's about a four minute flight! We did end up going fishing at Channel Point as well though.

Not sure Freewheelin, haven't been playing with the Eurocopter product for long. I was told to get another one as this one was running out of warranty, when I asked about options I was told to spec it up with whatever I wanted! (Within reason of course). We ordered a new Challenger 300, see below, a few weeks ago too, wouldn't mind a play in that too!
BTW we've gone off topic just a bit, surely there are others with cockpit shots out there.

Here's me in my cheesy Bladeslapper sunnies, glasses to be worn strictly for posing purposes only! Wasn't there a thread here somewhere where you could post images of you in your Bladeslapper sunnies in various places, poses etc.
