Helitreck is a Sydney-based helicopter company specialising in bushfire support. We are currently looking for expressions of interest for casual crewman (winch operator) positions for the upcoming bushfire season.

Requirements
CAO 29:11 endorsement or equivalent
100 winch cycles
300 flying hours experience in helicopters
50 flying hours experience on BK117
Class 2 Aviation Medical Certificate
HUET
Crew Resource Management Certificate
Dangerous Goods Certificate
Senior First Aid Certificate
ASIC Card
Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate
Flying in the Wire Environment Course
Desired
Bush Fire Awareness Certificate (can provide in-house training)
Fire experience
Long line, sling work, lifting experience
Aerial incendiary experience
Flying in the Wire Environment Course
Riggers ticket/certificate
Tasks include but are not limited to:
• Check winch is in good operational condition
• Drain fuel and check for water or other contaminants
• Check all headsets and PTT leads are in good operational condition
• Clean and polish windows
• Ensure the helicopter is clean, packed and ready for deployment at the beginning and end of each shift rotation
• Ensure all tactical equipment is serviceable and mission-ready
• Provide clearances during takeoff, landing, hover and winching operations
• Conduct passenger preflight safety briefings and ensure safety of passengers while approaching, departing, and on board the aircraft
• Load aircraft cargo with consideration of weight and balance restrictions
• Conduct hover entry/exit and winching operations in a safe manner
