EC135 & Winch Operators

Postby DanHeath » Fri Nov 8 2013, 17:03

Hi
I need to speak to a good operator currently using EC135 for winch operations - specifically involved in Marine Pilot Transfer

There is a potential opportunity for a wet lease arrangement in China starting May 2014. Anyone with leads / ideas i would appreciate some feedback.

Thanks

The only operators that I can think of who may be able to help with some advice would be the NSW Police Air Wing in Sydney or the Westpac Lifesaver Rescue Helicopter service on the Gold Coast. Both operate an EC135 however I am not 100% sure if the Police have a winch on their machine.

The CASA register also has HNZ operating several EC 135's however I've no idea in what role. They do perform MPT operations however I think it is almost all done via ship landings.

A few years back EMQ in Brisbane also operated an EC135 (machine now with Westpac Lifesaver) so they may have some people who can also assist.

They are quite common in Europe:

REGA (rescue) - Switzerland http://www.rega.ch/en
DRF (rescue) - Germany
HTM (offshore) - Germany http://www.helitravel.de/company/?lang=en

Do you need someone with EC135 experience? :D
