HAWCS is an Australian company providing aerial survey services to the powerline and utility sectors across the country. We specialised in linking intelligent technology with airborne services. Our focus is to understand what our clients need and to present solutions that deliver accurate, accessible information for your network quickly and safely.

We are now looking for qualified and experienced Helicopter Pilots to join our team.

Responsibilities:

Maintain written and computerised flight logs, aircraft and pilot records to comply with CASA regulations and Company Operational Manual.
Read periodic publications and Airworthiness Directives from CASA and make necessary adjustments to helicopter operations based on information and directives.
Supervise and direct the work of personnel on the ground, which are assisting in operations involving the helicopter.
Ensure maintenance and daily inspections are completed for safe and reliable operations.
The Successful Applicant

A current Commercial (or higher category) Helicopter Pilot Licence.
A current Class 1 Medical.
Type rating on MD520 (Highly desired) or MD500 with minimum 100hrs in command on type.
Minimum 1000hrs command time on helicopters.
Flying experience in aerial powerline is preferred.
LiDAR experience highly desired.
A valid Low Flying Rating.
A current Dangerous Goods (DG) by Air certificate.
