G'day,
The title sounds probably a bit crazy, but I am actually looking for a position in a company where I could eventually fly both helicopter and planes. I am an ex army helicopter pilot and used to fly Super Puma for 11 years then flew some single turbine helicopters such as AS350/EC130 for fire fighting and VIP in Monaco. Currently flying in a major airline on Boeing 737-800 in Europe but wish to come back to Australia (also dual citizen). Ideally in the air ambulance sector but I am open to any offer/opportunity.
Anyone could help me out with this request? A company in mind who could be interested in my atypical profile and professional inspiration?
Any advices are welcome.

A few good options in Queensland. QLD Government Air is one of the few states left that operates its own aircraft rather than contracting it out. They have a bunch of 139s, and around seven fixed-wing aircraft based around the state.
The better bet though is RACQ LifeFlight and the Royal Flying Doctor Service. They both specialise in aeromedical transport rather than winch rescues etc. RACQ LifeFlight runs 139s, 412s, and jets, while the RFDS runs mostly King Airs and a Cessna 208 but they'll be the first organisation globally to run the new Pilatus PC 24 jets. Flight nurses work across both organisations in Queensland so you may find you'd be able to do some varied work as a pilot also. LifeFlight also have a top-notch training arm with a 139 sim, HUET etc. Give their chief pilot Dave a call- he's a top bloke.

Not specifically a dual rated job but Skytraders does a lot of interesting flying with their Airbus(s) out of Melbourne. Could easily pick up some helo work outside of that.

I did both for a couple of years, but a long time ago, and only hopping between Chieftain, Baron, Aerocommander and Bell 206.
In these litigious days, it would perhaps be hard to maintain full currency on these types, and if they were more complex with sim training and such, the company might choose to keep you on one type.
The only trouble I found with seat-hopping back then was that when moving from the Chieftain to the Baron, the gear lever and flap lever were transposed. I found myself after landing, ready to raise the flaps but my hand was on the gear lever. The squat switch would have stopped a gutser, but the other way round after takeoff and raising the flaps instead of the gear might have cause a moment of regret.

McDermotts also operate both fixed wing and rotary I believe.
