We are recruiting for a motivated, broad focused safety professional to lead the integration of key safety areas of our business, with a focus on operations, engineering and regulatory requirements and parameters.

The Bristow Helicopters Australia Safety & Quality Manager will be based in our Perth Head Office, Western Australia and assumes responsibility for ensuring our Business Regions’ Safety and Quality standards are upheld according to CASA, ISO9001, relevant legislation and Bristow Group and client requirements.

Reporting to the regional Safety and Compliance Manager, the responsibilities of this role will primarily be centered on leading our team of Safety and Quality professionals to broaden the reach of this functional area and to advance standards within the business, assuming responsibility for the strategic management of our brand in ensuring that all activities align with the established values of ‘Safety First’ and ‘Target Zero’, and actively engaging with our clients to promote our business and highlight our commitment to and Safety Quality.

Oversight of our extensive audit program, management of safety incidents, and the maintenance, monitoring and improving of processes in place to work to reduce the number and severity of workplace injuries will also fall within the scope of this position, as will extensive participation within our local and overseas management team, determining organisational requirements, objectives and plan and ensuring our operations are compliant with Bristow Group Standards.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in the aviation industry, preferably within a large global corporate organisation which has multi-site operations. Well-developed technical abilities including a strong knowledge of reporting requirements, legislative requirements, presentation of new ideas and concepts and the mapping of organisational change initiatives are all essential requirements, as is the requisite that you are passionate about safety and are able to demonstrate you have integrated safety practices into daily operations and effectively influenced your colleagues to support a ‘Safety First/Target Zero’ attitude.
