Sea World Helicopters is one of Australia’s premier tourism helicopter companies, based on the Gold Coast, Queensland. We have been flying for over 40 years conducting mainly scenic flights and general charter. Our fleet consists of 2 x Eurocopter AS350-B2 Squirrels and occasionally an EC130.

Sea World Helicopters currently has a requirement for a full time line pilot.

Minimum Requirements are;
CASA CPL(H)
1,500 hours Total Helicopter
200 hours turbine
Dangerous Goods
ASIC

Desirable Qualifications;

AS350/EC130 Endorsement
HUET
Previous Tourism Experience

Remuneration; Salary = $66.6k plus super and 6 weeks holiday

Roster; 4 days on, 2 days off.

Great to see entry level jobs being advertised again, I’d say go for it. I did some time up on the Gold Coast as a contractor few years ago now and it was great fun.

It would be a satisfying job flying a great machine doing laps around the Gold Coast to build time and a great roster to boot by the sound of it.

Sad part about it is that salary is standard in fnq for pilots.

Your dollar goes a bit further in FNQ than it does on the Gold Coast. It shouldn't matter too many applicants though, I'd imagine a reasonable percentage would be heading home to to live with Mum and Dad.

Side issue, but have you lived in both areas? I have and the cost of living in FNQ is far greater than the Gold Coast.

You won't have to worry about pay rates, we breathalyse all our pilots each morning so you probably won't last long!
