places selling helmets in WA

Postby mapala » Mon Oct 14 2013, 08:38

Hi All,
I was just wondering if anyone know a shop that sells a couple different helmets so I can go there and try a few different ones on?
not sure which model to look into and I would like to be able to try it on before committing to ordering one online.

thanks

I'm sure the suppliers will be lining up to let you use their facilities to try on a helmet that you intend to buy online.

I don't think you'll find any supplier with a WA outlet anyway...

Hi Mapala,

If you do a search on Bladeslapper if you haven't already re "helmets" you should find enough info to make an informed opinion.

Mapala....here is a start from a recent thread:

viewtopic.php?f=9&t=7283&p=55408&hilit=helmets#p55408

Helmets are a personal thing as different helmets will fit different heads differently. Your best bet is to maybe try on or at the very least look at different helmets that other people in your area have purchased, given the lack of outlets in WA.

I have previously used a SPH-5 dual visor which fit well but was heavy when compared to the Alpha Eagle which I have now owned for nearly 7 years. I also tried on a friend's LH-250 and found it uncomfortable around my ears and temple area.

Both helmets I have used have proven to be very reliable, durable and fit for the purpose but like with anything they all have their individual pros and cons, no matter how minor that they might be.

My recommendation is an Alpha Eagle for overall comfort, light weight and the dual visor set up is much easier to use (and sturdier) than the hap-hazard set up on the older styled SPH-5.
