Shane Urquhart, the father of one of the 15 victims talked on ABC - 612 tonight. It is worthwhile listening to the background of the accident, the effects and the effect of the regulator.

Still a lot to be learnt here for all GA operators.
It was a series of errors by a well known operator whom was notorious for short cuts and an bunch of bumbling CASA oxygen wasters

Sadly, the more things change the more things stay the same.

Let's not forget that the system allows him to operate.

This kind of thing is what I really struggle to understand with the regulator. Now I know nothing of this particular operator however, CASA are unable to fix a problem right under their nose in public view yet they are trying to "fix" aviation by pushing I'll thought out, incomplete regulations. It is beyond belief.

It's like Hemple, everyone in the industry knew he was flying without a medical and conducting joy flights so why didn't Casa?
Torres air only 3 or so weeks ago had a strike with a plane load go through the trees at Badu island luck no one was killed but couldn't have been worse very easily. He is a known crook so why do they allow him to be involved.
