GPS database -errors and/or omissions

Postby skypig » Wed Dec 6 2006, 09:47

The GPS approaches at NZAP (Taupo NZ) are “missing” from the last two database updates from Honeywell/Bendex King. They blame Jeppesen, who simply state: -

“Our Data Standards group has concluded :!:  :!: that the below procedures" (GPS 17 and GPS 35 approaches at NZAP) "were not included in the 0611 Nav Data release do to a file extract problem :?: . I have requested that our coding group make the necessary changes to insure these procedures will extract in Nav Data cycle 0613 (21 Dec 06)…..”

Apparently at other times waypoints on GPS approaches are suddenly (after “updating”) thousands of miles away.

Anyone else had similar experiences?
