Good Morning,
I am a South African pilot currently in the process of immigrating to Australia, I would like to convert my SA CAA ATPL(H) to a CASA ATPL(H).
could someone please help me with the best place to get study material for the exams and going forward with the process of converting my license? I have come across the website www.aft.com.au which seems good.
any guidance would be appreciated.
kind regards

Re: Converting of foreign ATPL(H) to CASA ATPL(H)
AFT you mentioned, is really good for the theory component .
The conversion exam requires passes in the ATPL Human Factors exam (AHUF) and the ATPL overseas conversion exam (AOSH). The AOSH examination is a 3 hour exam requiring an 80% pass mark which covers the following unit codes for knowledge standards in Schedule 3 of the MOS -CLWH, AALW and CMET.
To sit the exams , only available in Australia ..
https://aslau.aspeqexams.com for bookings , test centres around Australia.
To convert your Instrument Rating (theory)...
http://store.bobtait.com.au/irex-book-only
or
http://www.flightstore.com.au/instrument-rating-manual
Thats the theory out the way...
Then finding a flight school....
Not in any order....
www.heliwest.com.au
www.phs.com.au
www.kestrelaviation.com.au
www.rotorlift.com.au
You will need an ASIC card

Good Luck

Then a MCC course, ATPL training then ATPL flight test.
You might have the MCC portion recognised from your SA ATPL.

I did hear that LifeFlight in Brisbane has an ATPL H FER.
You can't do ATPL "internally" as it is a new licence issue

ATPL tests are being done “internally “ (for want of a better word) by the offshore companies.
