What's a job in helicopters pay? Does it pay? Why do you get paid more than me?

Am I correct in assuming then that a first year heli pilot working in charter ops should be paid a minimum of $42,684? And if so has anyone ever been paid that sort of coin in their first year?

I did in my first full time job.

Yes sbonnet. $41,332 for onshore helicopter single engine (P57 E5.1) is the bare minimum by law, unless there are other arrangements in place. It doesnt include Super, so thats in addition + other allowances.
Anyone paying below that is breakig the law.

It's worth a read for all of us, be it employer or employee, the allowances such as uniform, days off, camping accomodation, leave.. not just the $$, more $ for NVFR, IREX,ATPL,mustering etc

Yes, more than the award. But only casual.
But I have feeling that you already know that RC.
