Are you an Aussie or a kiwi? If you have an Aussie passport try maritime helicopters in Alaska. You can work in the US on an E3 visa if you're Aussie and can get your FAA ticket.

Can you support that? Honestly I Don't think that is really possible, below is the requirement for the e3 and helicopter pilot does not qualify as a specialist occupation anyway. You still need to be sponsored and most heli company's won't spend the money or effort to do it.

The Requirements to qualify for an E3 visa: an applicant must demonstrate:
• that he or she must have a legitimate offer of employment in the US
• that the position he or she is coming to fill qualifies as specialty occupation employment
• that he or she is an Australian citizen
• that he or she has the necessary academic or other qualifying credentials
• that his or her stay will be temporary, and
• if required before the alien may commence employment in the specialty occupation, that he or she has the necessary license or other official permission to practice in the specialty occupation.

Yes I can. I worked for a company (I'm here on s greencard) flying 212/412's. But there were two other Aussies also flying on fires on an E3 visa on USFS contracts. One was flying an 802 air tractor and the other was on the 212.

E3's are actually quite easy to obtain given the amount of Aussies I ran into on the fires alone during the 2016 US fire season.

I can see US companies hiring medium/heavy drivers on E3s. But not for more run of the mill work in tourism or EMS. There's just too many out of work looking and too much hassle for the company to care.
Both companies I've worked for here won't sponsor.
