120 litres??? For reals??
I'm a pessimist, that way I'm either always being proven right, or pleasantly surprised.

Couldn't find you on the interweb, and the biggest drones shown were about a metre across and carried 30 lit of liquid.
A 6-m span and 150 kg lift is massive - some pictures please?

Currently out the back of Gunnedah testing 1000 litre UAS for fire, the numbers are easily possible depends on the platform.
In the above post the 6 mtr span is probably the actual spray boom length, not wing span or rotor diameter.

No kidding.
Show me a picture of a drone with a 6-metre spray boom.
And also a pic of the machine carrying 1000 litres too - something bigger than a Huey. CA$A will love to certify one of those operating without a pilot.
The story of an unmanned R22 is probably the best use for them too.

When you have an airframe that is specifically designed for payload and not humans it is quite amazing what you can come up with in terms of payload.
Tandem layout running two rotax ROTAX 915 IS/ISC giving you over 280 hp, can run on one in emergency. The old rule was 4kg per HP in the standard layout, eg tail rotor and losses. With tandem you have over 7kg per hp as lower GB and efficiency losses and you have your answer. 300k unit price and pr/hr costs of less than $200 per hour in a swarm structure.

Interesting that you seem to know what CASA is going to certify yet it seems you have little knowledge regarding UAS? You must also know that state coffers are bottomless pits of money that can just keep writing out cheques for Skycranes and Blackhawks?
You realise that CASA has approved UAS delivery in ACT?

So do you think there is going to be a major issue if fire drones based on swarm theory can help firefighting in AUS, or do you believe that we should NOT help reduce the damage and end result that decimates regional communities?
So you are personally stating that CASA is going to say no to a UAS system that helps regional communities?
