Sometimes you accept some wind up your arse, heavy load etc etc.
Settled load into water ,machine and load fine.
Finished job with no fuss.
What would you experts do???? Punch the load off???Go home and get a Skycrane????
Has no one had a f#%k up and worked in the real world ???

It also stemmed from having done the first lift, in a very gingerly fashion, he (she?) got a bit more confident and descended quite a bit faster towards the drop zone on the second lift.
Then 5h1ts turned to trumps, and he was lucky that the tank went into water (didn't smash, probably floated) and the turn into wind with less weight got him out of settling with power. He found his underwear full of trumps.

Having lived on the Gold Coast and actually stayed in that apartment building they were lifting from there aren't many options where you could take the load to. Going to and from the building he was going over the river which bends itself around just out of view of the video so didn't fly over any built up areas. The park he is operating from is about the only area he could use as a landing site apart from something on the other side of the river. You get some pretty rugged winds coming in around those buildings. Good to see machine and pilot are all ok.

Do you know the pilot that was behind the controlls or his experience ? I doubt it! Making dumb bum statements like that shows your ignorance!

Were you sitting in the machine watching were you?
If i'm not mistaken there is A FULL monitoring system in that aircraft. NOT 1 Parameter was exceeded. its all recorded remember.
Given the wind and conditions, I think he did a great job. Like FF said whats the inference ?

I have to agree with Coptathat and FF.
Given that Casa are requiring twins be operated for airwork over populous areas, the driver in question is obviously experienced in multi operations and to me theres no question there.
You don't have to be a scientist to work out the company wouldn't put a junior driver in for this job. We all make mistakes and we are the better for it. Sure it would have been a pants frying moment but they are still here to tell the tale.
Lets give he/she a chance to put forward their view if they so choose.

KN .... Really how can you make a comment like that? Easy to sit back in the bleachers and put your "know nuffen" words here and prove that you really will never know nuffen, nor probably have no nuffen licence or no nuffen chance of employment anywhere. In hindsight sure, it could of been done different, but when $h1t went down , this bloke still recovered extremely well. It could of ended up far worse. Maybe Blade Slapper should be members only that don't want to be Bitch Slappers??
