I'm a pessimist, that way I'm either always being proven right, or pleasantly surprised.

Well he does describe himself as
to (sic) young to get a chopper licence yet!
We sit there and think, "Oh no, another teenage ego in the industry"
and he sits there and think, "Bunch of boring old farts!"
Good luck with your dream Eric (Fully sic wog) A.

Sorry, but i don't believe in doing that. you have to make your own living, not rely on luck.

Re: YOU WON'T BELIEVE THIS!!!
The guy flying the machine is obviously a skilled low level pilot giving a demonstration for some reason of the handling capabilitys of this terrific helicopter. The air starts as soon as you leave the ground and that is the stuff that helicopters fly in. There are countless tasks that helicopters carry out at low level everyday everywhere, unfortunately its a hostile enviroment fraught with danger but the work will still go on. I wish I was as co-ordinated a pilot as this chap. But hopefully our young friend Eric realises that a good percentage of Helicopter work takes place at higher altitudes with different responsibilitys.
As a matter of interest I wonder if anyone would have an idea of what might be the breakdown of Charter style passenger carrying operations verses the aerial survey, ag work, powerline, pipeline, mustering, feral animal control, national park, fire fighting aerial work type of operation.

I know it's not the same, but the full size is somewhat limited compared to the R/C variety. For anyone who hasn't seen what sort of things a model is capable of watch this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfKgLWnCydg

Price, initially. The 105 was flogged around Oz in the mid-80s but the market for twins wasn't there, and the jump from a single couldn't be justified.
There are a few around, look at the EMS sector in WA.
The film in question was an example of how the German Army used their machines, so it was flown by a very capable pilot over a surveyed route which he had practised many times. The waiting cameras were a giveaway that he wasn't just being a hoon.

Pretty good skills to be doing pushovers in a "Robbo".
