Hi All,
Is this thing legit? Looks to me like a certified heli with operational chute mast mounted?

Looks for real.
Bloody good invention!
For those who can’t auto..Just flick the switch.(easy)
Not sure how effective it would be for LL ops tho?

There is always an option.

The manufacturer states "The rescue system can be safely deployed anywhere above 150 meters".

Re: Operational rotary parachute?
I just watched the video again on my computer this time and paid more attention.
That’s one big remote control helicopter with a dummy sitting in the seat.
Pretty cool!

Gotta hand it to them for trying I guess.
But if you can't auto from 500' then maybe you shouldn't be flying a helicopter.

Re: Operational rotary parachute?
I guess the thinking is that an auto doesnt always solve a variety of in flight emergencies, tail rotor failure due to bird strike, or mechanical failure causing it shear off thus CoG out of limits, perhaps slow onset pilot incapacitation, jammed controls or god forbid the old cyclic that sheared off, etc etc no doubt when you think about it there’s probably a load of “potential” issues that they maybe marketing towards, with some validity. But damn it looks ugly lol, at least an OH-58 has guns on it to offset the mast mount!
