Which countries accept CASA's CPL(H)?

Postby Rescue Hawk » Thu Nov 5 2015, 13:06

Hi everyone,

Just converted my CPL(H) in Oz.
I'm about to start the progress of getting visa to live and work here.
Until then, I was wondering if I can use my licence in other countries surrounding Oz?
Which countries and what kind of jobs?
Most of my hours from the military on Blackhawk, but I've got 130 on B206 and few on the R44.
Got 370 NVG and in total 1300.
I'm looking for a short term contract, until I'll get the visa.

Cheers

New Zealand should swap it right over under the TTMRA agreement assuming you meet all their requirements (mountain time from memory) which given your hours should be no problems. That being said a work visa will still be an issue.

PNG should convert your license over there quite easily though I'm not sure if you have to sit a written exam? For info Hevilift just advertised for touring co-pilots which could get you a start in the region. see: http://www.heviliftgroup.com/vacancies/ ... 5abea68ae0

I don't like your chances all that much in Australia given the Bond and CHC are making pilots redundant given the downturn in the oil industry.

Good luck

Thanks Havick!

Do you think I can get a job in NZ or PNG just for few months (probably for the summer)?
What about other regions?
Fiji or other Islands?

Cheers
