ATC Practice

Postby Jamienz » Mon Aug 11 2014, 04:05

I don't get a lot of exposure to controlled airspace where I fly, and feel a bit rusty on procedures/read backs etc. Can anyone recommend any good ways of practising this sort of thing without having to go to the expense of flying into CTR? At the moment I feel like I am deciphering code every time I have to talk to the tower, and would like to get more comfortable with it.

You can pick up an aviation band scanner for less than $100, find yourself a position with a good view of the airport and listen in while you watch
