I have contacted Citizen and they tell me the JW0050-58E you can have CST on the hands and UTC in the digital window all at the sametime.

Hey Guys,

For those of you complaining about the 30 min difference with UTC there is a work around but I never fully investigated it as I don't need it now. Took my watch to a repairer in Adelaide once and he had fixed the hands 30min different to UTC so I had UTC on the digital and local on the analogue.

I beleive there is a function to reset the hands if they go slightly out from the digital numbers. When you do this you deliberately set the minute hand to the 6 and thus thirty minutes out. The watch thinks the hand is at the twelve and now you can both be happy.

Only problem is if you continuously transfer in and out of the NT/SA but for those of you permanently there this will work.

Can't fix the fact that when in Adelaide you must set the date back ten years though!

Well after 8yrs my G-shock is starting to give up the ghost.

Looking at my options. Love my G-shocks, but wouldn't mind a Citizen Skyhawk.

To those who own one, how durable are they? I predominately work in the bush, so it needs to be a fairly strong watch.

My 2 cents worth:
Picked up the QANTAS inflight mag and spotted the new (12 months ago) Seiko Coutura in black and gold. It really is a very good looking watch so I figured I gotta get one. Long story short I hunted down a dealer that could supply one and of course the sales person (he says very politically correctly) talked me into buying the matched pair, diamond ladies version for my wife as well thank-you-very-much. With happy heart and empty wallet I sallied forth, Christmas shopping complete and with a great looking new watch. Lasted about 10 months, then the bloody thing stopped and started running backwards, the saphire in the crown fell out and the black started leaching off the case and band. Wife's model started the same caper soon after. Now nearly 3 months later and Seiko still have it, they've sent it back to the shop 3 times without fixing it properly. What they don't tell you is that the warranty is virtually non-existant and there is a minimum 6 week turn-around time for any repairs!
Sounds like I'm having a whinge but they really make a good looking watch and they talk the talk so I'm trying to stop anyone else from making the same mistake I did.
