Incapacitation
The only thing thats bothered me as I get older is loosen control while up there through sum sort of incapacitation.
It happened a coupla days ago.
Was fat n happy, just cruisen, wen for no reason at all, POP, my back.
Iv had issues lately with the spine, but never thought sumthn as relaxing as flying would pop me back out.
One of the ribs that hinges to the spine between the blades decided I was too comfortable just sittn there.
Was only bout 20 mins from where I was headed so I just humped it.
Couldn't turn me head, could only breath shallow, and found out wen I attempted to land, my left arm wouldn't fully extend either, not without shootn pain out and causen stars to buzz around in broad daylite.
Took 10 mins to exit, 2 hours rolln on the ground tryn to breath and wait for the pissedoff nerve to die, so I could try to fly home.
Not my happiest day out.
Note to the 'stuckup', if you dont like my spelln, dont read it.

Ha ha, moba comics.
Yes, flyn home was a better option the walkn. ( 50 miles).
Besides, the nerve was near numb, and id figured how i could get the left hand to the floor with out maken the stars come back out.
We dont all live in built up areas. ( or in cotton wool)

Re: Incapacitation
I'm not that bright, but just to get things straight you write a post about incapitation and the worries you have with it and a real life encounter with a daring do story to go with it, then you jump back in after some how getting out only to somehow get back in and fly home!!!!!.
So what I'm wondering is how worried are you really about incapitation.
I have an idea for your next thread, and it could be how CASA somehow finds out who you are and decides that making your life a misery is there top priority.
I can visualise it now there will be some super diligent CASA inspector now working late on a Friday trolling through there records and making requests to the administrators of Bladeslapper for your contact details.
Anyway I'm probably looking to much into it

Im not real bright either Kiwi, but bright enough to know wen i can and wen to admit i cant.
Its called risk assessment.
So far, my assessments have been spoton for the 20 years iv been flyn, obviously.
I never said i was incapacitated.
Is said my only worry was becomen so.
If i was incapacitated, i wouldnt be writen this, would i.
I wasnt putn anyone in harms way, not even my self.
My opening post was just hintng that your ability, experiance, medical history or dilligence in general might turnout to equal squat for an unforseeable, unpredictable case of incapacitation.
My slight ailement just made me think bout my mortality.
Apparently this isnt an issue round here.
So yes, your readn too much into it.

Birdy,
Your spelling, composition and grammar doesn't add up. You're trying too hard to be different, you're a fraud.

Amazing!
Sausepan has super human powers that allow him to judge someone he knows nuthn about, with enough confidence to lable him a fraud.
A Kiwi who dont savvy that 20 years of assessing risk in one of australias most dangerous occupations, without so much as a scratch, could be good risk assessment.
And EH cant read.
If i was incapacitated, who landed the machine?
I didnt need to turn my head to land.
I was sitn down, so shallow breathn is not an issue.
And i didnt need a fully extended left arm to land.
Wheres the incapacitation, dear ked?

No superhuman powers required Birdy, my 6 year old daughter pointed that out.
Walking 50 miles instead of flying, as the alternative, implies to me we won't be sharing the same airspace...that's a relief.
Take it easy fella...or lass, I shouldn't judge people I don't know.

Just wundern, if such an unforseeable back spasm caused a faital, would it show up in a postmortum?

Re: Incapacitation
I never said i was incapacitated.
So why would it cause a crash?
A spasm would not show up, but a misplaced rib or torn muscle might do, if the quack didn't put it down to damage caused in the crash. Though the Mayday call you put out would give a clue to what was going on:
"Mayf**%$cken day, May(ouch!)day, me bak is gorn crazy, I carn breave or tern me ed!"

The person performing the postmortem would probably miss any back problems if they were present as they would be so astounded as how someone could be so full of s#%t

The ensuing investigation might find this thread, however...
