AIP SUPPLEMENT (SUP) - H92/13

INTERNATIONAL FLEET REVIEW
SYDNEY HARBOUR
4 - 5 OCTOBER 2013

1. INTRODUCTION

1.1 The Royal Australian Navy (RAN) International Fleet Review
2013 (IFR13) is the Navy’s signature commemorative event for 2013.
IFR13 is a high profile international event that commemorates the
centenary of the first entry of the RAN fleet into Sydney Harbour. IFR13
takes place between 3 - 11 October 2013 and involves participants
from many countries.

1.2 IFR13 activities involving air support will be concentrated on
Sydney Harbour (SHB) over the period 4 - 5 October 2013. These
activities include flypasts and displays from multiple rotary wing (RW)
and fixed wing (FW) civil and military aircraft.

1.3 Temporary Restricted Areas will be declared and specific air
traffic procedures defined.

1.4 Civilian and non-participating military operators are advised that,
due to the significant increase of aviation activity, access to R405A and
R405B contained within the TRAs will not be available for the periods of
TRA activation.

1.5 For further information on the activation of IFR13 air display
airspace, contact the Joint Airspace Control Cell on 1800 562 222.
