ATPL(H) Aerodynamics and Systems Exam

Postby Capt Slong » Tue Jan 15 2019, 05:57

Anyone had a crack at the ATPL(H) Aerodynamics and Aircraft Systems Exam lately?

Any tips and tricks would be greatly appreciated.

Have the questions changed much in the last few years?

Yep self studied via AFT books a few months ago, didn’t rush it, made sure I did all the practice questions, did the online exams twice, passed first go with a good mark. There is a lot in it and yes so much of it is aeroplane relevant but so be it. There’s a lot of online tutorials via YouTube etc to help as well I found them useful to get a good working knowledge of a lot of the systems. Forgot to mention that the aerodynamics side of it wasn’t anything that isn’t covered in CPL level maybe working out disk solidity and blade loading etc but nothing crazy.
